It's wayyyyyyyyyyy early... but please consider adding this to your personal calendar(s)...
August 7th... Oakfield (our little town) which is located just outside of Fond du Lac Wisconsin... is having their annual corn roast... and Eleanor and I would like to try to organize a 'car show'.... just show up, hang around, display your cars, parking lot chat... you know how it goes...
Would like to see if we can stir up some interest for this. Perhaps we could do a 'cruise' first... the kettle moraine run for example, to start around 10 am or so, and then gather at the Oakfield High School parking lot around 2 PM... (VERY open to suggestions)... Other events in connection with the annual corn roast include a 'regional' band for entertainment, usually pretty good, and lots of food/beverages available at their grounds (located about a mile away from where we will be)...Interested ??? Please let me know... Thanks.
They've never tied in a car show to the day and we thought it'd be a nice addition.
I know it's VERY preliminary but Eleanor is wanting the info as to whether or not we can pull this together so that the Village can make the "car show" a part of their advance information/brochures/etc for this year's corn roast.
Any sign-ups?!??!
